Singapore!

Singapore recently celebrated its National Day. This was a big one, celebrating 60 years of Independence. I watched the celebrations from Perth and later, the memes, and it all tugged at my heart, given the next book in my Henry Herbert series is set entirely in Singapore.

My wife grew up in Singapore. A lot of her family still live there. I've lost count of the times I've visited (last July, I acted out lots of scenes from the novel while visiting, and family suggested many locations), yet with every visit there is something new to explore, another change to discover within a tiny world (compared to the expanse of Western Australia). If I could live anywhere else, it would be Singapore.
